The course is designed to be delivered over 2 years on a full time fast track basis requiring about 40-50 study hours or over 3 years requiring about 30-40 hours per week or on a part time basis over 4-6 years. Students who choose to enrol in 2 year fast tracked study programme are advised to ensure that they have required time available to them to dedicate for their studies before making this decision. Both 2 years and 3 years study programmes are considered as full time studies provided you enrol in a minimum of 4 subjects per term which may include clinical training.
There are four intakes per year namely January, April, July and October. January and July new enrolments are open for both week days on campus and virtual class room (Online) students. April and October new enrolments are open for virtual class room (online) students only.
Since AIHM virtual classes are conducted in real time, students are required to attend these lectures and tutorials. Where possible; virtual class are scheduled in the afternoon or evening to accommodate many working mature age students. Virtual class room sessions are recorded and archived for future reference for students. When virtual class rooms are not offered students can enrol for online classes where they are provided with all the lesson materials, recorded lectures and assigned tutors to respond to students questions. Supplementary live interactive tutorials will also be offered to support the learners and to ensure the learners meet the required knowledge and skills.
There are 4 terms per year. The term holidays are in line with school holidays. Students who enrol in January will start with term one subjects, similarly students who enrol in April, July and October will start with term one subjects and proceed from there.
